We are seeking a visionary English Language Arts Department Chair to lead, inspire, and manage the department at a critical stage of expansion and curriculum redevelopment.

The ideal candidate will bring a progressive approach to curriculum design, foster a collaborative teaching environment, and drive initiatives that enhance literary comprehension and critical thinking skills among students.

The role demands exceptional leadership qualities, expertise in American curriculum standards, and a proven track record of improving student engagement and outcomes in English Language Arts.

Student Grade: high-school

Requirements:

Education Required: Master’s Degree in English, Education, or related field
Minimum Teaching Experience: 3-5 Years
Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

Oversee the development and implementation of the ELA curriculum.
Mentor and support ELA teachers in their professional development.
Spearhead initiatives to integrate technology in learning.
Manage departmental budget and resources efficiently.
Evaluate and adapt teaching methods based on student performance data.
Organize events such as literary fairs and guest speaker sessions.
Collaborate with other department chairs to ensure curriculum cohesion.
Engage with parents and community stakeholders to promote educational goals.
